Liquitex Slow-Dri Medium
What it does
- Extends the open time of your colour/medium by 40% so it is blendable and workable for longer
- Increases transparency
- Gives softer edges and great colour blends
- Extends your colour further without affecting acrylic stability
- Lowers viscosity of heavier body paints, giving increased flow
- Increases surface gloss, colour depth and transparency
- Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality
- Ideal for dry and hot climates
How to use it
- Fully intermixable with all Liquitex products
- Can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results
- Mix as much as you like into acrylic colour/medium to create the viscosity and transparency you want - the more you add, the thinner and more transparent your colour will become
- Stir gently to avoid creating foam - if bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles rise and disappear
- If you're working over a long period of time, mix into colour on the palette to keep it fresh and skin-free for longer
- This is semi-opaque when wet, transparent when dry
- To fix pastel, graphite or chalk, mix 1 part medium to 1 part distilled water and apply with an atomiser or airbrush
How not to use it
- Do not shake or vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry
- Do not use with any non-acrylic media
